LAMENTATION is an immersive multi-media installation of a series of human scale objects that together resemble a mortuary or memorial building with cathedral like architectural components. Complementing the visual elements, the space will be drowned with the smell of fresh dirt, dramatic lighting, and the sounds of echoing prayers from different faiths to the dead. In Lamentation the entomological scale has been inverted with ours. The purpose of this reversal is to create a temporary space where individuals can contemplate the lives of those who are seen as undesirable or insignificant. - Time and history are witnesses to an unfortunate truth the preciousness of life is a privilege enjoyed by those who hold power.
